Lilly Architects to re-design Brewery Space

TULSA, OK- New life is coming to the building that once housed the Universal Ford showroom and Prairie Brewpub at 223 N. Main St. The Cabin Boys Brewpub has a planned opening in March or April 2023.

The building still has the original floors and will soon have a new brewhouse to go with an updated interior.

Cabin Boys is celebrating its fifth year of existence this year. Its main production facility and taproom is located at 1717 E. Seventh St. It is also opening a new satellite taproom at 512 W. Will Rogers Blvd. near Route 66 in downtown Claremore.

Cabin Boys Brewpub is expected to serve lunch and dinner.

“We will have a full kitchen at our downtown brewpub, as well as board games, plenty of places to sit, and obviously lots of beer to drink. We’ll also have a full bar and have non-alcoholic drinks, wine, ciders as well as some cocktails, too,” said Lisa McIlroy, Cabin Boys art director and wife of Austin McIlroy, the master brewer.

The space was once the old Universal Ford showroom turned brewery in 2017 by the design team at Lilly Architects. The firm specializes in historic renovation as well as adaptive reuse projects. The firm is behind the design of many of the renovated buildings in the Historic District in Tulsa. In fact, the brewery is just a short walk down the street from the Lilly offices in the old Fox Hotel.

The Lilly Team is excited to help transform the space into Lisa and Austin’s vision for Cabin Boys.
