Founder and Principal Chris Lilly has earned a reputation for designing historical renovations that express each project’s cultural significance. He is a versatile architect with a balance of design and technical expertise and has worked across a broad range of project types including mixed-use, hotel and residential, education, museums, healthcare and research, civic and cultural, master planning, adaptive reuse and historic preservation. Lilly has uniquely positioned the firm with a focus on preservation and the employment of cutting-edge technology. His interest in building technologies has spearheaded the efforts within Lilly Architects in the area of design construction integration through 3D scanning, Virtual Reality and leveraging the most from Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems.

Scott Smith, Principal Architect, is a mentor to the aspiring architects and designers around him. As a distinguished graduate from the Penn State University School of Architecture with over 34 years of practice in architecture, he brings decades of experience to the design studio. He believes success in collaboration results in success in design.

Scott began his career in Baltimore and the Baltimore/Washington Corridor where he built his foundational knowledge of collaborative design, technical expertise, and management skills. Scott and his family moved to Tulsa in 1998.

Over the last two decades, Scott has been instrumental in creating meaningful architecture in and round Tulsa. His finds inspiration in photographing architecture throughout Oklahoma and where he travels. Scott has a creative eye for composition and the ability to bring complex ideas into focus. He believes that good architecture results from the successful synthesis of ideas made possible by the collective contributions of many.

Since graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2003 with a Bachelors of Architecture, Nathan has worked as an architect on projects that include master planning in Bahrain to high-rises in China to convention centers in Chicago to board game cafes in Tulsa. Today, Nathan is more involved with the project management side of the projects working to keep the team motivated and the project on schedule. In his free time, Nathan likes to ride his bike and paint, but more importantly play with his baby boy. Architecture should acknowledge it's surroundings and the history of its context while looking to the future. Architecture should force one to look up from their device and take a moment to yourself to "breathe".

Daryl Tannehill is a graduate from Oklahoma State University and a licensed architect. Her approach to design is holistic, starting from understanding the clients mission and then developing design solutions across all phases that align with the client’s goals. Daryl has worked on a wide variety of project types, including mixed-use, private residential, adaptive reuse, educational and museums. Her skills cover the spectrum, from conceptual design through construction administration.

Blake is known for his collaborative working style and his ability to discern and resolve construction issues before they happen in the field. He brings 10 plus years of architectural drafting experience to the team and has been involved on a wide range of project types from commercial, retail, educational, healthcare, mixed-use and museums. He is passionate about sustainable design and leveraging Design Technology to help produce better projects. Blake is a leader in the office when it comes to utilizing BIM, Cloud Services, 3D Laser Scanning and Virtual Reality. If he’s not in the office working on the latest project at Lilly Architects, you can find him canoeing down the Buffalo National River with a fishing pole in hand.

Meagan believes our built environment has a strong influence on our identities. She advocates for interior design as an instrument to enhance health and wellbeing, celebrating the importance of purposeful design in our daily interactions. She is grateful for an occupation that allows her to improve a community’s vibrancy and quality of life. A quote by Charles Eames provides inspiration for her work: “The details are not the details; they make the design.”

Clifton has more than 17 years of professional experience ranging from furniture design to large civic projects. He believes that there is always a opportunity for good design no matter how large, small, expensive or inexpensive a projects is. When not working Clifton enjoys coaching others for half-marathons and the local pub run.

James graduated from University of Oklahoma in 2006 and is currently licensed to practice architecture in Oklahoma and Colorado. James has broad experience designing and managing healthcare, higher education, K-12 schools, commercial, hospitality, and spiritual facilities. James has been a strong advocate for sustainable design in the community and became a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) in his first year of practice and has extensive experience managing LEED Certified projects. He has served on the boards of U.S. Green Building Council, AIA COTE (American Institute of Architects Committee On The Environment), and Tulsa’s own Up With Trees. James completed a one year program with Leadership Tulsa focused on strengthening underprivileged communities in Tulsa and has a deep appreciation for diverse experience and its ability to inform design.
